Pressure vessels that absorb transient pressure waves and protect pipelines and pumps from water hammer.

Specifications shown are indicative ranges. Set your exact size, pressure and material when you add an item to My RFQ.

About surge vessels

A surge vessel (surge or air vessel) protects a pipeline and its pumps from the transient pressure waves of water hammer that follow a pump trip or a rapid valve movement. A cushion of trapped gas in the vessel absorbs the pressure rise and supports the flow during the fall, damping the surge and preventing column separation and the pressure spikes that damage pipework and equipment. Vessels are sized from a surge analysis of the system. Provide the pipeline flow, pressure and profile and the pump data so we can advise on sizing and configuration.
