Description

A dual plate check valve comprising two semicircular, spring-loaded discs mounted on a central vertical pivot within a wafer-style body. The disc opens from the base first under fluid force, minimising seal wear; spring force ensures gradual closure as flow reduces and rapid closure during backflow to mitigate water hammer. Sealing surfaces may be wear-resistant material welded to the body or rubber-lined.
