Description
A slide valve utilising two parallel gate plates as its closing mechanism, equipped with a spreading (wedging) device that replaces the traditional single gate plate design. The force pressing the plates against the valve seat is regulated by medium pressure acting on either a floating gate plate or a floating valve seat; in dual-gate configurations an inter-plate spreading mechanism provides additional seating force. Intended primarily for isolation or venting of gases and liquids in pipeline systems.
