- It can equally function as a pressure relief valve, opening to discharge excess pressure when upstream pressure exceeds a set limit

Description
The A500 is a pressure sustaining and relief configuration of the A900 main valve body, fitted with a P500 pilot. When upstream pressure is above the sustaining set point the pilot holds the main valve closed to protect upstream supply; when pressure exceeds the relief set point the pilot opens the valve to discharge excess pressure. Used at pump stations and reservoir outlets to prevent both under-pressure collapse and over-pressure damage. The A900 body can be repiloted in the field without body replacement.
